ARE YOUTHS REALLY EXCLUDED IN DECISION MAKING ABOUT THEIR FUTURE AND COUNTRY?

The EXCLUSION OF NIGERIAN YOUTHS IN MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT THEIR FUTURE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR COUNTRY (part 1)
it is worthy of note that at independent the pedigree or yardstick that brought most of the recycled leaders we have today in Nigeria bothered on Education, commitment, patriotism etc. Concepts like Age, ethnicity religion weren't looked at in contributing to the devt of our country, which is at independent and beyond young energetic, patriotic and innovative people were at the halm of affairs the Awolowo's Gowon's etc. However in the present age and time it is rather unfortunate that all of that have been put aside, rather the youths of our time get insulted everyday by the present day leaders that the youths do not ve people not even one single person of integrity to find worthy in handling a ministry. They even went as far as using the constitution to bar youths in holding any sensitive position in the country. More painfully is that the youths see this things as normal because some feel because of their incapacity to lead, others are also incapacitated to lead.
I think is time the youths rise to the challenge and categorically state that enough is enough, it is time to ve some percentage in decision making of our future and our destiny, not some old folks who are engrossed with selfish aggrandizement to make decisions for us. It is time to march up and demand to be part and involved in the development of our country.
Never again shall we be excluded in making decisions that affect out future and development of our country.
Never will white people take JOBS in our country when we have gat none.
Never again shall our brothers and sisters who beat the white folks in class academically but still gat no JOB and extremely good in what they do be neglected for the white folks.
Our laws must change to address this “Lacuna" for the benefit of our youths and development of our country. Because according to Margaret Mead "The young, free to act on their initiative, can lead their elders in the direction of the
unknown... The children, the young, must ask the
questions that we would never think to ask, but
enough trust must be re-established so that the
elders will be permitted to work with them on the
answers."
